Workshop consultation and discussion White Nile

    The workshop held  in Central Kosti nursery Hall on 10/12/2015 the workshop opened by the Minister of Agriculture, irrigation and Forestry' Minister Of Livestock' Minister of Health 'Minister of physical planning .in this workshop presented three papers The first paper presented by the focal point of the White Nile and the second paper

presented by the  focal point of the Eastern Sector the third paper presented by the representative from the PCU project in the headquarter. the attendance Had been unique from each constitutionalists and executives and the local community  and all stakeholders relevant to REDD+ programme .

The discussion was fruitful The audience praised of presented scientific papers and methodology and Everybody's welcomed the idea of REDD+ programme and they confirmed their support for it Legislatively and executively and locally

Recommendations

  • Strengthen the Extension & awareness of the role of forests
  • Engagement of the local component in all activities of the project
  • Insurance on the continued implementation of the project and support it
  • Legislatively and executively  by the state government
